I had such a lovely experience at Barn Bridal Boutique today. From start to finish we were all made welcome by Jane. She was very relaxed and very helpful. Jane knew exactly what style suited me and had a huge range of accessories which she was more than happy to keep changing according to what I liked. I couldn’t recommend Barn Bridal Boutique enough.

I had the BEST experience with Jane. Her bridal boutique has such a lovely atmosphere and she made us feel at home straight away. We got settled and had a chat about what i liked and what i had tried on at previous shops before we got started trying the dresses on. What i loved the most is that Jane gave her honest opinion about what suited me and what didn't and i was able to find the one!! The moment was made so special and Jane kept adding props (flowers, head-dress) so we could invision what it would like on the day! I highly recommend Barn Bridal & wish i could do it all over again! I have to start by saying I’m sorry it has taken me so long to leave this review.
We got married 2 years ago, and I should have left this review then.
From the moment I googled the shop I knew I would find my dress there.
My sister and I drove to the shop and was just blown away from the start.
Jane was so friendly, she made us feel at home straight away, she showed me many dresses and without me knowing said to my sister this is your sisters dress.
30 mins later I had brought the very dress. She knew it’s what I was looking for and I loved it then and even more now.
Please go and see Jane she is amazing at what she does and the shop is just beautiful.

I cannot recommend Jane at Barn Bridal enough! We were made to feel really welcome as soon as we walked in and could instantly tell that Jane knew her stuff! We talked through the style of dress I was looking for, having sent a list when making the appointment, then went through all the dresses on the rails with Jane giving her advice along the way. Every dress was absolutely beautiful. I just had a good feeling that I was going to find THE one…and I did!

I visited Jane today and this was my first appointment to try dresses on for my wedding next year. She made me feel so welcome & ready to try on any dress. My mum , sister & I loved the full flowy conversation that was being held throughout the whole experience. If I could give more than 5 stars I would because (and I’ll try) words cannot express just how much Jane & Phoebe at Barn Bridal Boutique have completely changed my outlook & feelings towards my wedding day!

Like many others, I had organised our wedding pre covid & was meant to have taken place in 2020. When planning the wedding, I always dreamt of being able to say yes to the perfect dress.
Sadly, my first experiences of wedding dress shops were absolutely horrific. For context I am roughly between a size 20-24 (depending on the high street/online shop), I am incredibly self conscious & constantly panicking about my arms, my neck & my stomach.
These previous wedding dress experiences I’ve had have not only made those anxiety’s worse, but the staff would often agree with my flaws.

At Barn Bridal Boutique, they not only made me feel incredibly comfortable, but I’ve never felt so beautiful in so many wedding dresses. I felt like I’d known Jane for years and the atmosphere she and Phoebe created for me and my mum was exactly what I always wanted from a wedding dress experience and more!

Jane, your barn is beautiful, the dresses are amazing with such a wonderful selection of styles and sizes & I am proud to say, I am apart of the Barn Bridal dress family! Thank you for everything!

My experience at Barn Bridal was perfect in every way! I arrived for my appointment with my mum, mother in law to be, my aunt and maid of honour! The barn is stunning and Jane made us all feel so welcome, we were greeted with cups of tea and coffee on arrival and had a good chat about the wedding. Jane was so easy to talk to and very professional. I had so much fun trying on lots of different styles of dresses and Jane gave great advice. The moment I found The Dress was truly amazing! I would thoroughly recommend Barn Bridal Boutique! Jane was excellent and very friendly. I knew what style I wanted and Jane quickly saw that it was the right style for me too. Jane was very accommodating as I had bought my 7 bridesmaids and my mum with me. She has a huge range of dresses! They are all amazing quality and the prices were really reasonable. You can see she has a huge passion for her job. Everything you need to go with your dress is all there too. You can spend as long as you need here, she will make sure you leave 100% happy. Therefore you can try on as many dresses as you like in as many different styles. She will always assist and advise you.

I came to Jane because I already had a wedding dress that I had fallen out of love with. I’m not sure I really loved it in the first place! Even though I had a little over a month to find a dress... that fitted... Jane assured me we could find the dress of my dreams together... and we did!!! I have just come away from my appointment, dress in hand and absolutely on cloud 9. I must of tried on over 10 dresses and Janes patience and calmness along the way really helped me to just think about what I wanted. Every single dress is of such superior quality, and Jane really does know her stuff!!! After a few unsuccessful and disappointing attempts to find a wedding dress I didn't have huge expectations when I made my appointment at Barn Bridal. I was so wrong and completely blown away by my experience there. Jane was friendly and welcoming. She took the time to get to know me and my likes / dislikes over a coffee. She then took me through almost every dress on her rails asking me which one's I'd like to try on as well as recommending some she felt would suit me (this was very helpful as she obviously has a good eye for what works and what doesn't - always keeping in mind any styles I had ruled out). we selected a good few and I worried I'd be taking up too much of her time but she insisted I take my time to make sure I made the right decision. I ultimately found my dress and I couldn't be happier. The service you receive here is one-to-one. The atmosphere and setting is romantic and there is no pressure to buy at all. I would recommend Barn Bridal to any one looking for the perfect dress for their special day.

Jane at Barn bridal was so lovely and made me feel really comfortable at my appointment. Just from our initial discussion Jane knew which dress was for me and it ended up being the first one I tried on! She was incredibly accommodating of my family and made it a lovely memorable experience for us all.

Such an enjoyable & special experience. Found the perfect dress with the help from Jayne! So many to choose from and didn't feel rushed or pressured like in other bridal shops. Would recommend trying here before hitting the highstreet.

Jane greeted us at the door upon arrival, she was so friendly and welcoming. Initially we sat with cups of tea and discussed our wedding, how we met and what I’d already tried on. Jane pulled each dress out one by one and we decided together which ones to try on, unlike other places where you’re given a set number of tokens to choose dresses yourself. This allowed me to really consider each dress rather than just skipping past it which I loved! I was apprehensive as I’d tried dresses on in a few different places but hadn’t quite found the one but Jane put me at ease straight away and we tried loads of different styles on and I didn’t feel rushed at all! Finally I found THE dress and Jane was so complementary and kept my mum and sister involved all the way through. I’d highly recommend Jane, the boutique has such a luxury feel with absolutely beautiful dresses. I cannot wait to get the alterations done and to show off my dress. Thank you so much Jane!

Me and my mother went to The Barn Bridal boutique after visiting a number of wedding dress shops in the Chelmsford and Maldon area. I have also looked in London as well and hadn't found anything close to what I would like. We had lovely hospitality and Jane took the time to chat get to know us and hear about the wedding plans. I tried a variety of dresses and then found the one I really loved, Jane was so complimentary the whole way through the afternoon and really made me feel comfortable! I am so happy with my dress and how it fits like a glove but also for how good the pricing is! She made it really special and I loved the whole experience!

I had given up hope before I went to Jane at Barn Bridal. I'd convinced myself to settle for a dress that I wasn't very comfortable in, that didn't make me feel special, and that didn't even fit. Being plus size I had tried on dresses far too small for me and told to 'use my imagination'. It left me feeling like I never wanted to try on another dress again!.... But after I had explained this to Jane, she told me of a friend that had gone through a similar experience, which prompted her to make sure none of her brides ever felt that way, the experience she gave me was nothing short of incredible. Like a fairy godmother she listen to me and guided me to the most beautiful dress. For the first time ever she made me feel like the most beautiful person, who wasn't afraid to look at herself in the mirror. In fact, once I looked I didn't want to stop looking!! Visited Jane's beautiful barn with my mum, sister and niece. We had a fantastic time. It was our first outing for a wedding dress, also our last as ' the chosen dress' was in this beautiful barn. After having my babies in December I was dreading wedding dress shopping in January but Jane made me feel so wonderful! What can I say? After being recommend by my sis-in-law to be, I was keen to make my appointment with Jane one of my first, and as it turns out it was also my last!

Jane was lovely, and she really knows what she's talking about. Having the time and space for one to one time with Jane was invaluable - I was able to try on a whole variety of lovely dresses during the three hours we were there, and I never felt rushed or pressured to make a decision. It's almost a shame that I found 'the one' on the night, as I'd like to come back regularly - there's nothing quite like trying on wedding dresses!

The barn itself was beautiful and so inviting. I brought my Mum and sister along, and they felt very included in the whole process, and we all had such a giggle - key ingredients for a memorable girly night out.

Truly an experience I will always remember! I visited Jane at The Barn Bridal Boutique with my mum and sister and it was everything I hoped it to be. This was my first time trying on wedding dresses so I didn't know what to expect. Jane made us so welcome and we discussed my wedding theme and favourite styles over a cuppa to begin with! There was such a beautiful variety of dresses, and I felt gorgeous in every single one of them! But amazingly, we managed to find the dress on only the second try on!!

We felt like there was no rush, try on limits or time pressure which we had experienced elsewhere. Jane really takes her time to get to know your wants and needs from a dress.

Well this was where I said yes to the dress! After trying on what felt like a million dresses I found the one, Jane was so nice and friendly, She knew exactly what she was talking about. I felt like I've known her for years she knew exactly what I wanted and made me try things in that I would never like but I loved on! We was constantly in contact before my first appointment, in given her an idea of the dress I wanted to try, etc... The place itself was perfect, lovely decor and beautiful arrangement of the dresses everything was clear to see, there's a lovely sofa for parents and friends to sit on which is clear for them to see you in your dress! Beautiful music was playing to calm the nerves. There's a variety of dress in all different sizes. And I can't thank Jane enough for helping me, your an honest, kind hearted woman! Literally the best! Overall this is a fantastic place to find your dress. 100% reccommnend! ��

Jane was just lovely, when we arrived, she took time to get to know me & my wedding party, gauging the type of wedding we were having, to what type of dress I had thought of.

She took us through to the dress area & we went through the dresses in my size & styles she thought I may like. I must have tried on 10 dresses, at no point did I feel uncomfortable, Jane made everything easy & natural, talking me through each dress…I couldn’t have asked for better! With some of the dresses we tried belts, necklaces, veils to give me an idea of how small changes can make the dresses even more perfect!

In the end I said Yes to the dress & was over the moon & we all got a celebratory glass of Prosecco!

Before I went to Barn Bridal Boutique, I had been to about eight dress shops and had tried on over 30 dresses. They were all very beautiful but none made me feel like I had found ‘the one’ – I felt like saying ‘yes to the dress’ was not as magical as TV, movies and other friends had made it out to be. I also felt very insecure about how I looked in each dress as none of the sample sizes (plus size or otherwise) fit my body very well to indicate how it would look on the day. Jane put me (and my mum!) at ease straight away and said she thought she had the perfect dress in my size based on what I said I really liked and wanted. She helped me put it on and I finally had the ‘fairytale moment’ everyone had told me about! I didn’t want to the dress off, but she encouraged me to try some others that I might have liked to make sure it was definitely ‘the one’! Where do I start….
I hope I don’t bore you but please read.
I booked an appointment here after my mum found them online after couldn’t get through to the place i initially wanted to try.
I knew I wanted more of a one to one session that are not offered at larger companies and I didn’t want to feel rushed. Also i wanted to support a local business from all the bad and unpredictable times.
Well Jane certainly ticked all these boxes. As we turned up Jane was waiting for us and we sat and discussed ideas with a Tea, from then I knew I was in the best hands.
We went through to the barn and Jane took me through all the different dresses and she explained them and we marked the ones I would try.
Fitting area I was nervous and I’m quite shy and Jane made me feel at ease even with my bra off. We chatted about everything and it felt like I had know Jane for a while.
The first dress I tried was the one my mum liked as she saw it when we walked in - I really liked it however as my first dress didn’t want to feel in love, so we tried more, Jane was honest and was open with her opinions and I explained what I liked and hated about the dress and we paddled through them, one I love how the top part was but wasn’t in love as I was with first dress.
First dress then went back on and we added accessories and I knew it was the one - my mum, maid of honour and Jane cried. Jane talked me through how parts could be changed to meet with what I wanted. Jane wasn’t pushy on accessories either which I liked as didn’t want to be pushed I to buying something I didn’t want.
NSo yes I said yes to the dress!

I didn’t think I would walk out with a dress as thought I would have to try so many dresses and so many places as I’m so undesisive and fussy.
Im soo happy with the dress and I’m sad Jane can’t be part of the rest of the journey but I will definitely be tagged her and her business in my wedding photos.

Wish I had known about this great shop when I got married. Appointment only, exclusive use bridal dress shop. Lovely decor - beautiful dresses. Made to feel totally at ease by Jane who is very approachable, friendly and down to earth. Went here to chose my sisters wedding dress, was a truly enjoyable experience. Didn’t feel rushed and was great that we were only people in there as it felt really exclusive for us and much more special than other bridal shops can make you feel. And my sister said yes to the dress, fantastic prices. Dress, beautiful long detailed veil, belt and tiara for just over £1000. Take it home that day. Great place. Highly recommended

Wow!!! I found the dress!!!! I found about 4 dresses I liked and then found the one!!!!! Jayne was so lovely and made the whole experience a lovely time... I was very exasperated with 'normal' wedding shops. Sample sizes being way too big for me and I really struggled envisaging how a dress would look like on me once it was to my size. With only seven months to go the wedding I really didn't want to order a dress and then wait months for it be made to my size whilst paying a fortune at the same time! And then I found Barn Bridal. Booking my appointment I told Jane what kind of thing I was looking for. She said she had the perfect dress. It was the first and only one I tried on and it fitted like a glove, it indeed was perfect. I ended up buying a veil and a faux fur cape too which really completed the look for our late November wedding. I loved being able to walk out of the beautiful shop with my dress in my hand knowing it didn't need any alterations apart from shortening. I was so relieved that I had found my complete outfit and all a fantastic price! It must have been fate as Barn Bridal Boutique opened at the same time we booked our wedding - it was made for me!! Jane was a breath of fresh air and one which I desperately needed! Thank you!

I went with my daughter to view the wedding dresses available at Barn Bridal, my daughter had made the appointment, Jane took her time to show us all the dresses, I wasn't expecting my daughter to choose 1 that day after trying on 7 different styles she decided the 3rd one and the last 1 were both in the running and after about 15 minutes my daughter decided to buy the 7th and last 1 that she tried on, it fitted her like a glove and providing she doesn't loose any more weight it will not require any alterations now that's what I call a real win win situation and she looked absolutely stunning in the dress. Wow, what can I say, or where do I start! I visited Jane's Boutique on Saturday, this was my first experience in trying wedding dresses on and I was so nervous, being a plus size bride and having the worry that there would only be 1 or 2 dresses in my size, I had given myself a headache! Well that was silly! Jane was amazing, she put my mind at ease as soon as we got there, she is so friendly and knowledgeable! I couldn't believe it when she showed me the first dress she wanted me to try! It was exactly what I had envisioned myself wearing on my wedding day! It was absolutely stunning. We tried a few more on as I didn't have the "feeling" I've been told I should get when you know its the "one" which calmed my nerves and I started to really enjoy myself. I then spotted a dress which I wasn't sure would be in my size, it was nothing like I had imagined and didn't have any of the "must haves" I'd told Jane I wanted, but Jane was so encouraging and told me it was in my size and that I would look amazing in it! She was spot on!!! I cannot believe how much I love it and couldn't help but smile and dance round in it! Went along today for my appointment and was greeted on the drive by Jane who was so friendly. My mum and me were offered refreshments so Jane could ask me about my wedding plans and ask about wedding dress ideas, it was such a lovely and relaxed environment. After chatting i was taken through to the barn which was beautiful. I had time to look through and try on as many dresses as i liked and i never felt rushed. Jane was very knowledgeable and guided me through the appointment and always included both me and my mum with any choices or ideas. When I arrived at Jane’s beautiful bridal shop I immediately felt at ease and relaxed. Jane is a really genuinely lovely lady. We had a cup of tea while she asked me questions about my wedding day, and the sort of dress I had in mind. Jane then took care of the rest, she picked out dresses for me to try on. I couldn't recommend Barn Bridal Boutique enough. Jane is so friendly, patient and is very good at what she does- she had such a great eye for what would suit me and understood my style immediately. She and the boutique really do live up to the glowing reviews!

Having visited during the COVID period (June 2020), things were undoubtedly going to be a bit strange. But the whole process was fun and felt very safe despite COVID; the boutique was very clean, our temperatures were taken before going in, there was hand sanitiser and even a spare mask when mine broke. Jane had clearly gone the extra mile to ensure that the day was as undisrupted as possible- she had set up a lovely little marquee just outside the store. My mum and sister were then able to still be a part of the day, while sticking to government regulations.

We spent hours trying on so many dresses and Jane was so patient, honest and helpful throughout. She never once pressured or rushed me. Thank you again, Jane, for your help with trying on all of those dresses and for being so lovely! I love my dress (and pretty much all those I tried on) and the price was also very reasonable! x

I would highly recommend Barn Bridal! Jane is absolutely lovely and put me at ease right from the very first phone call. Being a plus size bride and someone who generally struggles to find clothes I like or fit me well, I was so worried that it was going to be a nightmare finding a wedding dress. Jane listening to my concerns and ideas and picked out some lovely dresses that fitted me great! I actually fell in love with the first dress I tried on but kept thinking surely the first one isn't "the one" so I kept looking. Jane was so helpful and talked through all the different options I could do in alterations if I wanted and let me try on as many dresses as I liked. She really did make me feel amazing! In the end I did end up buying the very first dress I tried on and cannot wait to wear it down the aisle!!

Said yes to my dress today!!! Five of us went into not fazed at all we was welcomed with open arms teas and coffees. I was the nightmare bride that new excatly what I wanted after seeing one dress at a wedding fare and nothing else would do. But being very patient with me we went over some different styles/designs but then it was time for that one the one I see weeks earlier on a mannequin at a fare. Before it was even done up I decided that was it the one. And everyone loved it and agreed. And then popped open a bottle to celebrate with my family and friends.. Arrived at the boutique feeling very apprehensive. Jane quickly put me at my ease over a cuppa. The boutique is comfortable and cosy and a very welcoming, relaxing place to be. I visited Jane recently with my mum and mother in law to be. From start to finish Jane made us all welcome, calm and we all felt so relaxed. I went to find my dream dress for our wedding next year and I was very nervous and went to other shops and was so overwhelmed with what decision to make From the minute I met Jane she was so welcoming and i didn't feel at all uncomfortable. I read a lot of reviews before I booked at Barn Bridal and having said 'yes to the dress' there almost a week ago, I have no doubt that every word on here is true! Jane was fantastic from start to finish, warm welcoming and knowledgeable. You can tell right away that this lady knows her stuff, with minimal input she seemed to understand me and the type of dress I was looking for. She got it spot on with the very first dress! Having said that, there was no rush and she happily helped me try on all the others I considered just to make sure! Jane makes the reveal so special, I couldn't believe I'd found my dress! My daughter and I visited barn bridle boutique. From the very moment we walked into the shop, Jane was very welcoming. She offered us tea and coffee. The bridal suite is beautiful with lots of gorgeous dresses. Jane shuts the shop to make your experience as pleasurable as possible. Jane explained to us how it works. Giving us the prize range of the dresses. This was a really good idea I thought as my biggest worry was my daughter would pick up a dress I just simply could not afford. How wrong was I straightaway I knew the most expensive one in the shop would’ve been affordable “ so I became relaxed knowing my daughter could have whatever she wanted to have. Jane takes the time to listen to what type of style you would like. We found the dress and my daughter looks amazing. Jane gave us a nice bottle of prosecco to celebrate. I personally can’t thank Jane enough for the time and effort she put into helping my daughter choosing the right dress with us . The Barn Bridal Boutique is a wedding dress paradise. Jane has created a beautiful haven with gorgeous dresses and a calm tranquil atmosphere. The fact that it is exclusive - you are the only client there - is great for those with social anxiety or for those who suffer with their nerves. Jane is wonderful. I had such a wonderful experience at Barn Bridal! It really felt like Jane put a lot of thought and care into her advice and suggestions, the dresses were all so beautiful and obviously well cared for. My partner and I visited the bridal barn today to meet with Jane. As a same sex couple, Jane had her hands full with not 1 bride but 2 and found a way to accommodate us both at the same appointment.
The bridal barn has a beautiful setting, by appointment only so offers a one to one dedicated service and Jane is the most delightful, patient, attentive and professional host. We both tried on a variety of dresses as there was many different styles on offer in her boutique.

We never imagined we would both find "the one" and walk away with our dream dresses.

The dresses are reasonably priced and Jane also offered recommendations for people that can offer alterations.

Jane made our morning the most amazing experience and settled the nerves of 2 rather anxious brides to be. Nothing was too much trouble and despite us being Janes first same sex couple that wanted to shop together, she took her time with us both, created the perfect atmosphere and even managed to keep control of our 2 over excited "bridesmaids"

We can't thank Jane enough for an amazing experience. This place is a hidden gem and a must for all future brides.

I went to the barn bridal boutique very recently (10/02/20) when we arrive we had a lovely welcome from Jane where we sat down together with a cup of coffee so she could get to know me better and work out the style I was after. There is a good range of beautiful dresses there, which are in all sizes. Jane helped out alot with her personality as she made you feel very relaxed/calm and very welcome in her shop. She listens to what you like on each dress while you are tying on the different dresses to help find your perfect dress. She also knew alot about what style suit you on your size what accessories would work with the dress such as belts and tiaras.
I found the perfect dress and can't wait to wear it in August.

I had an evening appointment and it was dark when we pulled up in the car park. The building was all lit up and it looked just magical. The moment we got there I just had a feeling this was going to be the place I would find my dress. Jane was warm and welcoming and made me feel completely at ease. She well and truly looked after my Mum and I and we both left feeling extremely happy. I found my dress and cannot wait to wear it on my big day! I can honestly say that when I set out to find my dream dress.... I was excited but also very apprehensive. Being a plus size bride, the idea of not being able to find anything to fit me terrified me. Jane was absolutely fantastic and made me feel at ease from the word go. She made me feel special, confident and most of all beautiful. There was no clock watching and she dedicated so much of her time to helping me try on every single dress 👗 to make sure I explored all of the available options. After my initial visit I narrowed the search to three stunning dresses and Jane was very accommodating, fitting me in last minute to allow me to come back with my mum in order to make my decision. It was lovely to be treated like a princess for the day and James advice on veils, tiaras etc was invaluable. What a fab experience! Jane is such a lovely lady and seriously knows her stuff. Being my first experience of trying on dresses I had no clue where to start, or what was going to suit me. Jane took so much time with me, allowing me to try on each style until I got an idea of what suited me.

Jane was super lovely and helpful right from the first email. The appointment was relaxed and the choice of gowns was incredible. Together we selected several to try on and I was encouraged to try as many as I wanted - nothing was too much trouble. I ended up saying 'yes to the dress' to the first one I tried on - Jane knew which one I would love the most and she was spot on! The prosecco was a lovely touch too. I was so anxious about going to find a wedding dress. The expectation I was putting on myself was huge. The places I had been before had made me feel uncomfortable and like there wasn’t going to be a dress out there for me!

Going to the barn bridal boutique made me immediately at home. Having a warm drink, chatting to Jane she made me comfortable with her and confident that we were on the same page.

She was quickly able to sense my style, my likes and dislikes and soon, putting on dresses became fun and exciting!

Jane made sure to put me in dresses that fit me and would suite my shape and style. It was great to try on some different styles and figure out what I did and didn’t want from a dress.
After a while, Jane managed to pluck my ideal dress out of my brain and magic it into existence. 🙂 As soon as I saw it, I knew it was going to feel different from the others I tried on. I didn't want to take it off! I tried on a few dresses on after that but all I wanted to do was put my dress on again! From that point, I knew it was the one!

I am so happy with my dress and for the dress shopping experience Jane has provided me. Jane has a very understanding and approachable nature. It is amazing how quickly we were able to chat to here like we were best mates.

I would seriously urge people to visit this store. I had the best experience trying on dresses with my mum and friends. By far the best atmosphere and Jane was so lovely. Really helpful and stunning dresses. Great price too. Sadly I'd fallen in love with my dress somewhere else already and couldn't change my mind. But I did feel like I wanted to buy from Jane.

I never thought I would find the Dress I had been to a few bridal boutiques before and as I am not a very confident or young bride to be I thought I would have to "settle" for an Ok dress. I visited Jane at Barn Bridal Boutique on Saturday with my mum on my first time dress shopping and I’m so glad I did. My experience was great from start to finish. Jane was so lovely, welcoming and knowledgeable. The boutique is beautiful and offers such a personal experience, plus a wide range of dresses.
When I left without a dress at the end of my appointment to think about my decision, Jane was very accommodating and let me come back on Monday to try the dress on again before I committed to buying it. We then celebrated with a glass of Prosecco which was a lovely touch.

Found the perfect dress from Jane at barns bridal! Jane was extremely welcoming and very easy to talk to about what (I thought) I wanted! Amazing array of beautiful dresses which Jane took the time to go through and give her advice on. I came here to have a little look at dresses and wasn't planning on buying anything! I came away with THE dress, a veil and a tiara! I had the most perfect experience! The shop is breathtakingly beautiful and you can really tell Jane has put in all the little details! The dresses are all absolutely stunning and I literally could have tried them all on! Being plus size I was worried about dress shopping but Jane was perfect about advising what would look lovely on my shape! I can honestly say I have never felt beautiful in my own body until I put my dress on. Also there was no pressure at the end of the appointment to buy anything, I didn't feel pressured like I know brides do in most bridal shops. I felt as though I was an important customer whether I bought the dress then and there or six months later! Also the dresses are so reasonably priced and there's something to suit everyone! My friend finally found her amazing wedding dress here after searching in many shops. Jane made us feel so welcome having drinks and chatting. She told me she would find the one for her and she did just that.

Jane was amazing. She spent such a long time talking to me so that she could picture my wedding and exactly what I wanted. This is the sixth (maybe seventh) shop I've visited and I bought the first dress I tried on!

I was extremely nervous about trying on wedding dresses, I was worried that I wouldn’t be able to find something that fit or suited me but 5 minutes with Jane and that all disappeared, my mum and I were offered tea or coffee on arrival and we had a lovely chat with Jane. My experience at barn bridal was above amazing , after having a crisis yesterday with my original dress being ruined by a seamstress I found, Jane gave me an appointment for today and helped me find the dress of my dreams with 10days to go until my wedding I was panicking and stressed like I’ve never been stressed before!
Jane pulled it out the bag. I was so nervous and not being body confident I was put at ease straight away, welcomed with a gorgeous cuppa and we starting looking. I tried 2 dresses on and I just knew my dress was the one and didn’t need to try no more, there was no pressure no rush just pure care and reassurance. Jane has sorted out my alterations and all will be done before our big day . I cannot thank Barn bridal enough it was an experience I’ll never forget and Jane is a true Angel. Made to feel totally at ease by Jane who is very approachable, friendly and down to earth. Went here to chose my sisters wedding dress, was a truly enjoyable experience. Didn’t feel rushed and was great that we were only people in there as it felt really exclusive for us and much more special than other bridal shops can make you feel. And my sister said yes to the dress, fantastic prices. Dress, beautiful long detailed veil, belt and tiara for just over £1000. Take it home that day. Great place. Highly recommended

I brought my daughter in to see Jane it was our second time looking for a dress. Jane was lovely, so friendly and spent the time to get to know what my daughter was looking for. We were there for about three hours and tried on every dress in her size. Some of them were stunning but one was the clear favourite and nothing like my daughter would have chosen, just as Jane had stated at the beginning of the appointment 😄. We came away with a dress and veil.
This appointment was so different to the first which looking back at now was cold and impersonal.

I recently purchased my wedding dress from Jane and I couldn't have had a more positive experience. Jane made us a tea when we arrived and took the time to find out about me, my fiancé and our wedding, as well as what I was looking for in a dress. She listened to my feedback and selected gowns based upon that until we found "the one". Jane also made sure each gown was accessorised before we revealed it to my mum and maid of honour, so we really got the full picture. I had not really looked at wedding dresses at all and had no idea what I wanted or what to expect when I arrived at Jane's Barn Bridal Boutique with my mum and two sisters. I felt quite nervous. Jane quickly put me at ease with tea and a friendly chat before helping me to try on a wide variety of styles without making me feel rushed. The prices of all the dresses on offer were very reasonable and there were accessories available to try on to get an overall feel for the complete bridal look. Jane had lots of useful insight to share and is clearly an expert in her field. She took the time to consider my personality and desire for comfort and happily as a result, I found my dress! Jane made the occasion feel very special, in the intimate surroundings of the boutique (with just Jane and my family) we could celebrate in a relaxed atmosphere! Yesterday I went to Barn Bridal Boutique to try find a wedding dress. It was the first time I ever went wedding dress shopping and I was completely nervous an anxious. Where do I even begin to start.. the amazing Jane.. quite literally the real fairy godmother! From the moment I stepped onto the gravel driveway, I had a very special feeling about this appointment! A warm welcoming from Jane, followed by a natter getting to know all about me and my day, followed by the most personable dress trying on experience. I visited Barn Bridal Boutique 2 days ago and could not recommend this beautiful place enough. Jane made us all feel so welcome straight away. She took her time to listen to what I was looking for but also encouraged me to be open and try on a variety of styles. At no point did I ever feel rushed. The dresses are all absolutely stunning. I visited Barn Bridal Boutique over a month ago but have only just got around to leaving a review - all I can say is amazing service! From the moment I completed the booking form, Jane was prompt with replies and so helpful. I had suggested 3 dates and Jane managed to fit me in one of the earlier dates as I was quite busy for a few weekends so was limited on when I could come in! I came with my mum, nan and maid of honour. We came into a beautiful outdoor area with 2 lovely egg chairs and was offered a cup of tea. I was so nervous because this was my first dress shop and I did not know what to expect but Jane made me feel so much better straight away. We chatted about the wedding day and Jane got an idea of the sort of dress she thought I would wear. We went through every single dress and I was allowed to choose as many as I wanted - there were a lot! I tried on my first dress that Jane thought would be best for me and WOW! I felt emotional and so did my family. I went on to try on all the other dresses (we were there a very long time) and Jane was patient with me and listened carefully to my likes and dislikes. I was not under any pressure to buy any dresses and if I'm honest I did not think I would be buying a dress that day but I knew I needed to try on the first dress again. Jane gave me some accessories such as a veil, necklace and flowers so I could really get the feel for the dress. I felt the same emotion seeing it on and so did my family so I knew it was the one. I not only took the dress but loved the veil and necklace too! Thank you so much Jane for making my experience so amazing and producing a beautiful day for me and my family xx

So last night I said 'yes to the dress'. Jane was wonderful from the beginning and coped well with my screaming baby and over excited chatter box of an 11 year old. So today was my first time trying on dresses, really didn't know what to expect. However we arrived and straight away Jane made us feel welcome and put us at ease, she didn't feel like a stranger at all, I felt so comfortable around her. I found my dress!! The whole experience from start to finish was so personal, relaxed and exciting! The boutique itself is stunning and Jane is so welcoming! All of her dresses are gorgeous and after trying on as many as I could, I had almost come to think that this just wasn't my day to find my dress...... but the last one was THE one! I didn't feel rushed or pressured at all as Jane is such an amazing woman with her patience and experience, she knew exactly what would suit me and what would compliment my figure and even though I knew in my mind what I wanted and what I didn't, she encouraged me to try dresses that I wouldn't have even looked at and I was really surprised that I loved them! The experience at Barn Bridal was the one I wanted my daughter to have and wasn't disappointed. The Warm welcome over a much needed cup of tea gave us time to discuss my daughters wedding and Jane showed great interest to find out styles and requirements for her special day ......then away she went behind the curtains.

Jane was unbelievable she made me feel so at ease and so comfortable. There was so many more dresses that were my style and Jane picked out one that I wasn’t so keen on! However her instincts were right as I ended up falling I. Love with the dress and took it home the same day! Her eye for detail is on point as I had ruled out a veil and tiara but Jane recommended some accessories that really made the dress. Jane was simply amazing. She took the time to get to know me, and what I was looking for in my ideal dress, all with a lovely cuppa. She pulled several options for me, all stunning! But the first dress I put on was THE dress. Jane's tea was still warm, and I'd found my dress! After several appointments else where, I could not believe how spot on she got it. I still can't believe I have a dress even better than I had hoped for! She was so warm, really made me feel comfortable and like a real bride. And the prosecco to celebrate was a fantastic touch - it didn't feel like an appointment, more like a visit to a friend's house.

Booked an appointment at Barn Bridal for Saturday. Was slightly nervous and thinking no dress would suit me. On a Tuesday night less than 3 weeks before my wedding, I went to pick up my original dress after final alterations (bought from elsewhere) - the seamstress had wrecked it and it was unwearable.

I got home in floods of tears, then an extremely large glass of wine later I started googling “off the peg wedding dress Essex”. Barn Bridal popped up so I rang (fairly late in the evening!) and explained the situation - I was squeezed in an appointment for first thing the following morning, which was instantly reassuring. She also contacted her best seamstress and arranged so if I found a new dress with her I’d be able to go there directly from the boutique for any alterations.

I found my new dress. Not only did I find a replacement, it was even better than the first AND more reasonably priced. It even matched the lace on my existing shoes, and still coordinated with my other accessories. It was meant to be! Snug in the happy cosy bubble that is her boutique, along with a great choice of gowns and sustaining tea (then celebratory bubbles!) it was exactly what I needed to fall in love with another dress and deal with the stress/upset of the preceding 24hrs. I entered her boutique worried and exhausted after a sleepless night, then emerged a happy bride. She also showed my Mother-in-Law how to professionally get me in the dress so it looked absolutely perfect on the day. I can’t recommend Jane and her boutique highly enough - it’s almost a shame I’m only getting married once, or I’d have returned to her without hesitation.

From the start, Jane made the three of us feel extremely welcome in her beautiful boutique. I had some idea of what suited me, and Jane happily found dresses in this style for me to try on. She also encouraged me to try some different styles, including one dress which was brand new in, which I may not have tried if it purely down to me - so glad, because I said 'yes' to that dress. I was also impressed with the accessories for sale, and ended up walking out with my whole outfit bar the shoes, all for an incredibly good price! An absolutely brilliant, totally stressless day (despite it being the hottest day of the year!) Thank you!

I could not recommend Jane enough, from start to finish she was professional, helpful and kind. I went into the shop thinking of a dress from another shop that was over my budget thinking that nothing would compare to that dress, well I was wrong. Jane is a professional, caring and awesome individual. I booked my appointment swiftly and simply over the her website and arrived at the designated time to a beautiful set up bridal barn boutique.
This was for my second marriage so I was very worried about getting a dress similar to my first. Jane put my mind at ease and took note of key wants, for me it was showing off my tattoos on my back, and she went through her dresses one by one identifying ones that fit my body shape and wants.
We didn't stop at the first dress I felt good in, we tried on different styles and I ended up falling in love with something completely different.
I never could have found that dress without Jane, cannot recommend her enough!

So now I can finally write my review! Visited Barn Bridal back in January not long after having a baby so I wasn't looking forward to it too much.
Jane was amazing, she made me feel very comfortable and confident (or maybe that was the Prosecco she provided?!)
I had a fabulous day and a lovely experience. Not only did I find one dress but two!!
I got married in Italy this month and had two ceremonies, a legal one and a symbolic one and both dresses were perfect for each location.
What made it even better was the price....two dresses for the price of one in most bridal shops. An absolute steal!
Highly recommend this boutique and this very lovely lady!

If you want 'the bridal experience' when purchasing your wedding gown, then definitely visit Jane. She made us feel incredibly welcome and the boutique itself is very attractive and well designed. My sister found a beautiful blush dress that was perfect for her. Everyone in the party was involved in the discussions, no matter how young, and the incredibly nice Prosecco was the icing on the cake! I'm so glad I chose to come to Jane's shop. I was feeling abit nervous but we had a chat about the type of dress I was looking for over a cup of tea and I inmediately felt at ease. We then got started - she picked out some beautiful dresses for me to try on and her honest, supportive guidance was so appreciated. Jane was so patient and I never felt at all rushed. I could not recommend Jane and Barn Bridal Boutique enough. I was extremely anxious about going wedding dress and shopping and had kept putting it off. A friend of mine stumbled across this boutique when researching places to go, and I am so glad she did. As soon as you enter the boutique you feel relaxed and at ease. It is beautiful inside, it is a place I could quite happily sit in all day. Jane makes you feel very welcome and special from the off. She asks all the right questions to help you find the perfect dress for you. She understands your big day and the look you are going for and recommends dresses to suit this and your body shape. Jane lets you try on as many dresses as you like. You do not feel rushed or pressured into choosing or purchasing anything. Due to the amazing experience I was able to find the dress of my dreams. It was so lovely to celebrate after with a glass of prosecco. I am just so sad the experience of dress shopping is over but I cannot wait to wear my dress on my wedding day.

If you’re getting married you must visit The Bridal Barn...you will not be disappointed. As a plus size bride Wedding Dress shopping is a little daunting but I didn’t need to worry as Jane put me at ease as soon as we walked in. Jane is so lovely and you could spend hours talking to her. Jane has already picked a dress she thought would be perfect for me before we arrived and she clearly knows her stuff as I walked out of the barn with that exact dress. The shop is truly beautiful and Jane could not do enough for us, offering tea, coffee, water and celebrating with Prosecco when I chose my dress. The whole experience was amazing from start to finish and I would recommend Jane and her shop to anyone getting married!

I had driven past Barn Bridal regularly for past couple of years and said to myself .... when I am getting married I'm going to go there for a nosy.. ha ha .... when I finally got engaged and we set the date I put Barn Bridal on my list of places to visit.
I attended Crabb's Barn wedding fair a few months ago and got to meet with Jane and was immediately put at ease about visiting her Boutique. I didn't visit anywhere else at all.
Then a few months later I made an appointment to visit.
A couple of weeks ago I came along with my daughter and cousin and had my mum linked in via FaceTime (as she lives in Ireland) and had the most enjoyable time trying on as many dresses as was needed until I found the one that felt perfect. The choices were amazing and the Boutique is private and stunning.
At no time did I feel pressured, rushed or uncomfortable. Celebrating with Jane and the girls with bubbles toasting the purchase of my gorgeous dress was a great way to finish my experience with them.
